TIPS

  • Don’t spend too long on technical details, if a function is not possible or difficult to implement, write it in the accompanying text, but an attempt must be visible, come to the tutorial, write …
  • Focuses on the target group (“meet the target group where they are”), content and user guidance
  • “What’s next?” Guide your users through the page.
  • Relevance determines the order.
  • The content of the page must be clear “above the fold”.
  • “Every additional click is one too many” – as long as clarity is guaranteed.
  • All pages (given the amount of content in this course) must be accessible via a menu.
  • Links must be meaningful. Never link “here”! Really never!
  • Mark external content, a module is also activated for you: “WP External Links”
  • open external links in a new window
  • Select and customize the theme, we want to see that you have worked on it
  • Pay attention to readability, contrasts, suitable font and color selection, uniform photo / illustration concept!
  • Visual highlighting of important content, space and color cost nothing.
  • If you use photos / illustrations in the content area, it must always be clear what is shown there and how the image relates to the content, e.g. with captions.
  • uniform image formats
  • legible graphics
  • an association always needs a statute
  • look for plugins to use more elements than text and images for the presentation of your content!
  • Slideshows don’t always fit
  • There is something on the internet? Please link to it!
